The historic sites of Mackinac State Historic Parks provide the opportunity for your class to experience history up close and personal. Experience 1770s life on the edge of the British empire at Colonial Michilimackinac; learn the science and technology of lighthouses at Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse; feel the power of a working water-powered sawmill at Historic Mill Creek; and step into the 1880s US Army at Fort Mackinac and see how the army was adapting to life post-Civil War.
A visit to our sites can satisfy several curriculum requirements. In addition, a host of pre-and-post visit materials can be found here, as well as on-site activities.
