The provision storehouse was one of the buildings moved from Fort Michilimackinac to Fort Mackinac, where it was located behind and under the 1828 post hospital. Its location was excavated at both forts, making it one of the few buildings anywhere to be excavated twice! This iron architectural bracket dates to the initial British 1780-1796 occupation of Fort Mackinac.
