Mackinac Island, Mich. — On Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11, Mackinac State Historic Parks (MSHP), in appreciation to its neighbors from the Straits of Mackinac, will offer local residents admission into many of its nature and historic parks at 1958 rates.   For only 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for youth ages 5-17, visitors can enjoy the many features of Colonial Michilimackinac and Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park in Mackinaw City and Fort Mackinac on Mackinac Island. Children four and under are admitted free. The new Adventure Tour at Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park, which currently includes the Forest Canopy Bridge, sponsored by Mackinac Associates, and the Eagles Flight Zip Line, costs $5 in addition to general park admission.
Local residents from Emmet, Mackinac and Cheboygan counties can take advantage of these special visitor appreciation rates.
