To make your group's visit the best possible, there are a number of things that can be done before and upon arrival:
1. Prearrange Your Visit
Contact Scott Witsman in advance to prearrange your group’s visit. This is a necessity. While this is not a reservation to the exclusion of other groups, it does alert the staff of your pending arrival and allows them to be fully prepared. His contact information follows these tips.
2. Verify Your Arrival Time Two Weeks In Advance
Contact Scott Witsman by phone or email two weeks in advance to verify your arrival time and give a final guest count.
3. Obtain A Guide To Access Brochure
Download the Accessibility Guide for guests with accessibility concerns. You can also obtain it by emailing a request to Scott Witsman or by asking for it upon arrival.
4. Obtain Park Maps
Download the park maps ahead of time, or ask for them upon arrival:

These park maps give schedules for the main summer season of June 6 - August 22. If arriving before or after these dates, contact Scott Witsman for a different map that corresponds to the dates you will be visiting.
5. Obtain A Video
Request Mackinac State Historic Parks’ 10-minute overview video to watch ahead of time or, for motor coaches, on your way to the parks. Send requests to Scott Witsman.
6. Bring Warm And Cold Weather Clothing
Because weather in the Mackinac region can sometimes be unpredictable, even in the summer months, bring clothing for both warm and cold weather. View Mackinac weather here.
7. Verify Arrival Times With The Parks Hours Of Operation
Verify your arrival and departure times with the 2009 Hours of Operation, as each park has different hours that change during the seasons:

8. Have Escort And Payment Information On-Hand
Have your tour escort on hand at arrival time and to have all payment information prepared.
