Redcoats on the Frontier: British Soldiers at Michilimackinac 1761-1781

Permanent exhibit features artifacts from soldier life inside this accurately reconstructed Soldiers' Barracks. See, hear and imagine soldiers' daily lives.

Video, winter and summer scenes and a hands-on Adventure Room are some highlights.

18th Century Village Life Interpretation

Colorful colonial life comes alive in peak season through vivid re-enactments as you meet village residents, witness a traditional French wedding and see the boisterous Arrival of the Voyageurs.

Watch soldiers demonstrate their musket and cannon firing skills on the parade grounds.

Treasures From the Sand

A unique permanent underground archaeological tunnel exhibit displaying hundreds of original artifacts: colonial soldiers' uniform buttons, coins, rosary beads and more. Learn about life in the 18th century and how archaeological digs help reveal the past.
