Opening Day at Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park
May 5th, 2008
Location: 3.5 miles Southeast of Mackinaw City on US-23
Soar through the realms of time at Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park. Smell the sawdust as millwrights saw lumber by hand and by water. Hear the rush of Mill Creek falling onto a flutter wheel, powering an authentic 1790s sawmill. Then soar over Mill Creek on the Eagle’s Flight Zip Line, and try to spot the trout hiding in the water below. Get a Red-Tailed Hawk’s eye view of the forest as you walk along the Forest Canopy Bridge. Hear a squirrel’s chattering territorial calls. Time doesn’t stand still at Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park. It soars, so grab a zip line and explore.
